Join storyteller Ben Rosenfield for an interactive hour appropriate for adults and their children. Participants will explore, write, and act out different points of view and “back stories” of favorite folktales like “Cinderella”, “The Three Little Pigs,” and “Little Red Riding Hood.” For example: “Obviously the wolf wasn’t really going to eat Red and her grandmother (or was he?). What was he really up to and what were his plans? Let’s hear it from the wolf himself. Or, “If Red was suspicious of what he was up to, why did she go and what did she have in mind?” Let her tell us herself. A group might decide to hold a news conference with all important characters and take questions from the audience news corp.
Children must be accompanied by adults.
Teachers will receive one CPDU toward recertification. This workshop is pure language arts development consistent with State Goals 1,2,4,5 -- and lots of fun as well!
