Emerald Rum

Emerald Rum began its life in early 2005 at an Irish music session in the upstairs room at Mike & Molly's, which, with a liberal application of green paint, became known to some as the Emerald Room.

Today Andy McDowell, Shane Rhoades, Ben Musson, Byron Grimes, and Jerome Colburn are happy to bring you a mix of Irish dance tunes and songs in English and Irish, old and new, with an occasional excursion into something completely different, on fiddle, banjo, flute, guitar, mandolin, whistle, concertina, and vocals.

You can also find Emerald Rum at the Blind Pig on Walnut Street on Sundays, 5-ish to 8-ish and beyond, "where there's never a cover charge and you always get your money's worth." Bring your instruments and voices and have a tune with us!

Saturday afternoon Nov. 5
Noon-1:30, Strawberry Fields
